This is my secondary blog and is designed as an archive of my handmade creations, past and present. I also add dates of fairs I'm attending, where I offer for sale my handmade pieces and also carefully sourced vintage goods. I hope you will enjoy taking a look, Niki x

The Early Years...

Firstly, sorry for the quality of the following selection of photos. I've literally had to photograph photos, as this is the only record that I have of some of my early dolls...in the days before convenient digital cameras!

When my girls were young, I regularly did the craft fair circuit. Later joining forces with a friend and becoming a little more ambitious, such as having a stall at the Green Park Station, Bath.

At that time we specialised in folk art/primitive style dolls and rabbits - it was a fun time and we made good sales, particularly during the run up to Christmas.

This group of dolls were destined for The Fiery Beacon Gallery, Painswick, nr Nailsworth one festive season, and were some of the first to be made from vintage fabrics.

I then started to supply an antiques shop in Bath...

I would fulfill a regular order each fortnight. The following selection of dolls are some of the early designs that I made around the late 1990's onwards...

This doll dressed in French linen was one of the first that I made and was purchased by another shopkeeper in Bath...

Who ended up being in a magazine!

Here she is sitting on a shelf in her shop.

I'll add more archive photos another day...
