Festive Flea

Just back from selling at the fabulous flea market in South Molton's Pannier Market...
Several friends and past customers visited my stall; a lovely surprise, as having moved to a new county this year, I wasn't expecting to know anyone and thought I'd be starting from scratch forming a new core customer-base...Thank you lovely people if you happen to be reading this! :) x
And of course thank you for your purchases.
I'm now booked-in to all of the Flea Market dates for next year ...
(If you'd like to take a note for your diary, they are: Feb 14th, April 13th, June 5th, September 11th, November 13th (10am to 3pm).
Looking forward to making this local event my regular outlet...

To finish-off this year though, I have two more dates in South Molton where I shall be offering my festive handmade products for sale.
The Winter Wonderland event is on Friday evening 4.30pm to 9pm and on Saturday, 9am to 3pm.
I shall be upstairs in the Assembly Rooms, above the Pannier Market.
Christmas is coming!

Sing Choirs of Angels...

I've been having fun making a collection of naive primitive angels. All are dressed in antique textiles and have various vintage trinkets adorning them, making each one a unique decoration for the country home.
This is 'Believe'.
***
Her friend 'Love'.

***
This is 'Wish'.

***
'Peace'.

***
And 'Joy'.

Each doll is stuffed with cloves and star anise for festive fragrance.
***
I also made some Christmas cards with scraps of antique lace and old papers.

So plenty of new products coming with me next Sunday
Wishing you a happy weekend,
Niki x

Boxing Day

I made this display box this week based on the ones I made last Christmas
I used a Victorian photo mount with beautiful floral decoration for the front...
and an antique book cover for the back board. The sides were covered in antique sheet music.
I thought it would be pretty for displaying a small vase of evergreen foliage and winter berries inside.
Coming with me here next month.
I'm now working on some fun prim angels for this event too, which I shall show when complete.

A Vintage Magpie

A tiny vintage velvet millinery magpie and his bottle of magic glitter powder...
Were carefully placed inside a hand decorated box...
And got posted off to a special lady whom I greatly admire...

As a small gift to congratulate her on her recent book launch.
Photos courtesy of The Magpie and the Wardrobe.
A small tribute to a talented, hard-working woman and her wonderful creations.

Country Blessings

After making a cushion for our living room from an old men's jumper, I thought I'd use up all the offcuts and make some seasonal country style decorations...
These pure wool Fairisle hearts are filled with cinnamon, cloves and star anise for festive fragrance...
And come with a rag ribbon hand stamped message fixed with a vintage button.

They will hang easily from the Christmas tree by their curly wire loop.
There's a little stocking too!

Perfect for those who prefer a natural country look to the usual glitz and sparkle.
The even smaller off-cuts were trimmed into tiny hearts for some one-off greetings cards...
Combined with antique lace and a hand stamped message.

Other pieces made this week include some magic keys for Santa (for those without a chimney on their home!) - Made from antique French keys.

And a little photo collage...
All are stored away ready for the Winter Wonderland Fair next month.
