This is my secondary blog and is designed as an archive of my handmade creations, past and present. I also add dates of fairs I'm attending, where I offer for sale my handmade pieces and also carefully sourced vintage goods. I hope you will enjoy taking a look, Niki x

Post Wedding Props!

I've been moving some of the floral displays and props from my daughter's wedding into the shop today.
The hydrangeas, sedums and rose hips should all dry quite well in their little posy vases and vintage bottles.

Old painted watering can with more hydrangeas.
China tea post are planted with viola plants.
Decorative bird cage and painted cake stand.

Another bird cage and watering can.

A decorative touch that isn't for sale is some bunting I made from damaged lace doilies.

I've also moved in some more vintage stock, such as these adorable cuddly toys.

Boxed baby set, with powder box, swansdown puff and hair brush, all in a beautiful little box.
I've been making some more pieces too... I've wanted to work on a new design for a bag and came up with this gathered style. It takes quite a bit of fabric, but I like how it turned out.
I used a fab shimmery 50's rose fabric and a wooden toggle button.

Lined inside with the same.
A pair of cushions made from a pretty vintage Sanderson chintz.

Shoulder bag made from vintage hand embroidery and a 50's upholstery fabric.
1930's button.

Velvet & Lace

I made this little bag this week, using an antique French  silk damask in a softly faded pink.
I added a crochet lace piece from a vintage doily at the top of the bag.
And it is lined inside with a fabulous velvet from the 20's/30's.
