This is my secondary blog and is designed as an archive of my handmade creations, past and present. I also add dates of fairs I'm attending, where I offer for sale my handmade pieces and also carefully sourced vintage goods. I hope you will enjoy taking a look, Niki x
Octavia has joined me in my shop today - She is dressed in a beautiful French rose printed cotton skirt and has a pretty peachy-pink mohair jacket. A vintage handmade lace collar finishes off her outfit with old fashioned charm. Niki x
I had been waiting for over a week for a new delivery of feather pads for my handmade cushions - Thankfully they were worth the wait as they are particularly plump and puffy this time!
I've made two pairs of cushions with this wonderful pink floral Barkcloth...
I've used C19th French linen for their reverse.
A c1950's fabric printed with lilac sprays, unusually in pastel pink and yellow! *
There's also a patchwork cushion made from an assortment of hard wearing linens.
The reverse. Some of my other creations include a small brooch pillow for a dressing table.
And a summery bag fashioned from more flowery vintage goodness!
One slightly damaged vintage hand embroidered tablecloth... Became one tote bag... and three cushions, today... With their opening trimmed with the scalloped edge of the tablecloth.
Nursery cushion made from a gorgeous vintage Sanderson fabric and a page from a baby's rag book. Fun tote bag for summer living. And Sanderson again for another functional summer bag.
