This is my secondary blog and is designed as an archive of my handmade creations, past and present. I also add dates of fairs I'm attending, where I offer for sale my handmade pieces and also carefully sourced vintage goods. I hope you will enjoy taking a look, Niki x

Simple Craft Projects

I bought these lovely antique clear glass chandelier drops at the weekend.
Today I have simply threaded them with mocha satin ribbon.
They'd look pretty hung in a window, or along a shelf edge where they can catch the sunlight.

I've also been card making today.
Again I've kept things simple and stuck vintage cigarette cards onto pastel coloured card blanks using clear photograph corners.
I love the nostalgic images of these old cards, which are larger and rarer than the usual ones found at flea markets and fairs.

All are in my shop this week - Thanks for stopping-by,

Oh, Mr. Darcy!

I've been making more greetings cards this week....
For this latest collection I've used some old illustrations I rescued from the rain at a flea market. They feature ladies from Jane Austen's era...
Perhaps illustrations from Pride and Prejudice

I've used clear photograph corners to attach them to the cards, so as not to damage them. They can then be easily removed and framed if desired.

I've been sewing too.
I've made a pair of cushions from this pretty rose fabric.
And a pair in this classic Sanderson print.

Matching hand bag!
And another hand bag in another Sanderson fabric!

I shall be at the Vintage Bazaar's Textile and Rag Market tomorrow, with some of my wares.
Hope to see you there too! More details here
Have a lovely weekend,

Watch the Birdie!

Been feeling a little under the weather the last few days...But you know how it goes when you're self-employed? - No sick pay! So I had to go to work as usual...so rather than working on something complicated, I sat sticking papers and made greetings cards.
I used an old 'Observer' book that was falling to pieces and made a selection of blank cards suitable for men and women.
Each one is embellished with a feather and vintage button.
I made some more using pale pink card too.

In my shop today.
Have a lovely weekend,
Niki x
