This is my secondary blog and is designed as an archive of my handmade creations, past and present. I also add dates of fairs I'm attending, where I offer for sale my handmade pieces and also carefully sourced vintage goods. I hope you will enjoy taking a look, Niki x

Burning the Midnight Oil...

I introduced this little painted cupboard into my shop this week...
I added a toile wallpaper to the top and the door panels.

I've been sewing too, of course... :)

I had just enough of this fabulous vintage fabric to make the little bag above and a cushion. The fabric is called Meadowsweet and is a Colleen Farr design.
I think its pretty awesome!

I made another cushion from a beautiful vintage hand embroidery...

And I used a c1940's linen for the reverse.

I had a play with some glue too. I used old Victorian photos and added embellishments to them and hung them from old metal handbag clasps...

My final creations for this week are several lavender-filled hearts..of the elongated variety!
I used some precious scraps of antique French fabrics and stitched fragments of lace and vintage buttons to finish.

These will be coming with me to the fair tomorrow.

As will this little floral arrangement!
Have a lovely weekend,
Niki x
