Some of you may know that I owned a small shop (called Nostalgia at the Stone House) which I trialled for a year. I opened in 2003 at a time when my three daughters were still quite young. I found it s struggle to juggle family life with the constant sourcing of vintage stock, hand making and recycling vintage fabrics and furniture etc...as well as the tie that this type of business is on ones time and energy. I had to admit defeat after a year as I knew my family were far more important to me...and that I needed to put my business on hold for a while.
The following selection of photographs were taken over that year, when the shop was full of pretty vintage treasures, handmade accessories (all made by me) and small items of painted furniture. I look back with fondness, but know that I made the right decision at the time, to close.
