Stocking Fillers

Handmade greetings card - Vintage fabric mitten to wish you a Merry Christmas!

I've also made lots of lavender sachets. I used antique silk damasks, combined with some  special little lace samples that I bought a while ago at a flea market.

Some for my shop and some for the V&H Fair.

Bolster Cushion and Hearts.

A bolster cushion made from a rare French fabric. I trimmed the ends with a gathered antique braid.
Antique French ticking with a ribbon drawstring finishes it off. 

I've also been using up my scraps of lace to make lavender filled hearts. These will be coming with me to the Vintage & Handmade Fair in Chipping Sodbury on Dec. 1st. 

They'd look cute hanging on the Christmas tree! 

More makes will be coming fast and furious before the fair...

Vintage Baby

I made this collection of greetings cards today. Simply made by tying a pair of vintage baby booties to the front of the card using strong thread. They can easily be removed by the recipient. A card and gift in one! 

There was a little pair of mittens too!

A Comfy Seat

Made this lovely and squishy boxed cushion today.

I used three different vintage fabrics.

It has a feather-filled pad.

Vintage Romance

I've been working on some romantic gifts for Christmas today.
A heart shaped cushion covered in a vintage Sanderson  floral fabric.

And lots of hand stitched padded coat hangers which are a work in progress. They will be finished with lace and brooches.

Toiling with Toile!

I've been using some lovely antique French toiles in my latest makes. Above a little scatter cushion using the 'tatty patchwork technique.

Fragile fragments of Antique Textiles

I'm busy making lots of things for the shop and upcoming Christmas Fairs , including...

Lavender filled sachets/pin cushions made from rare antique fabrics, each trimmed with a shiny trinket.

Also a large 'tatty patchwork' heart shaped cushion. 
I'm sold thank you!

I used fragments of antique French fabrics that I couldn't bare to throw away...

Combined with scraps of vintage lace.
